I have a 3640 with a NM-6DM MICA modem module installed. Since its a 6 port module does this mean it can only handle 6 simultaneous calls, regardless if they're ISDN or analog? Thanks!

The Cisco 1700, 2600, 3600, and 3700 Series VPN Modules provide up to 10 times the performance over software-only encryption by offloading the encryption processing from the router central processing unit (CPU).

Hi!
NM-xDM does not interfere with ISDN. If a modem is free and ready, it can use a free line. Isdn calls can be made as long as there are free lines.
Digital modems are "piggy-back" modules (on NM-xDM) that can be ordered separately. I think there are five spaces, each containing six modems. Minimum capacity is therefore 6 modems (simultaneously) and maximum is 30.
IOS command show modem should give you the number of digital modems in your configuration.
