Hello,
I was wondering if it was possible to see my home network when I am connected via a VPN tunnel ?
I presume that I have to open some ports 136 / 137 or ?
Any help is welcome.
Before I post this I have been looking in the search bar for NETBIOS VPN , but I can only find information with some ASA products.
Best Regards,
Didier.

Didier,
If you use an IPsec VPN connection, no broadcast/multicast traffic would pass through the tunnel (NetBIOS).
I believe that if you use another type of VPN connection like PPTP or L2TP, you might be able to pass NetBIOS traffic through the tunnel just fine.
Another option is that users can use a LMHOSTS file as a work around. More information can be found athttp://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/windows2000serv/reskit/cnet/cnfd_lmh_qxqq.mspx?mfr=true
Hope it helps.
Federico.
