Netspeed reduces after connecting to office network using cisco anyconnect secure mobility client version 3.1.02040 ?

Net speed before connecting to office network

Net speed after connecting to vpn using cisco anyconnect secure mobility client version 3.1.02040

Does anybody know what is the reason and how can it be fixed ?

Hi Alwin,

 

Please check your anyconnect setting.... if your anyconnect is connecting in tunnel-all mode, then every internet traffic goes via your office network... if so then obviously it will give you a different speed test result....

 

check your isp setting in the result.... before connecting it shows Beam Telecom.... after connecting it shows your office network.....

 

so all your internet traffic takes thru your office network once you connect anycoonect vpn....

I have attached the anyconnect's export status file.

I am not sure where I need to make the changes. If you can guide me through that would be really helpful

Hi Alwin,

There is nothing to be done with your anyconnnect client.... if needed changes needs to ne done at VPN FW/Router where your anyconnect connection is established..... here i guess your corporate office is having this VPN server.....

 

They have configured it as tunnel all mode... means all traffic will be taken through VPN... see from your output preferred default route is pointed to 192.168.0.101, which is a vpn gateway....

 

If needed anyconnect vpn configuration needs to be changed from tunnel all to split-tunnel....

I would check with our office network specialist and get this sorted out.
