no dns on vpn

I am using win98se workstation with cisco vpn5000 client connecting through an NT4 server running winroute in NAT mode.

I connect fine to my corporate vpn. However there seems to be no dns available. I can ping addresses by number but not name. I can web browse only if I enter ip address. If I enter url by name I get a no connection/no dns error. Windows networking(i.e \\ip address works fine. If I ping -a one of my corporate ip addresses it returns its windows name.

Any suggestions as to why it can see or doesnt know where to look for dns servers on the corporate network?

THanks again experts!

Chris

I just helped another member with a similar problem. If winipcfg is showing the correct DNS server, it’s probably the same problem as this post http://forums.cisco.com/eforum/servlet/NetProf?page=netprof&CommCmd=MB%3Fcmd%3Dpass_through%26location%3Doutline%40%5E1%40%40.ee6f12f
