Dear all,
we have two routers with VPN modules and running c3640-ik9s-mz.122-27.bin. In our logfile we have lots of entries like
"%HW_VPN-1-HPRXERR: Hardware VPN1/0: Packet Encryption/Decryption error, status=4615." or ...status=4609
We do know "http://www.cisco.com/en/US/customer/netsol/ns341/ns396/ns172/ns271/networking_solutions_design_guidance09186a00800eeef7.html", but I guess we have a different problem, don't we ? On that routers we have GRE tunnels within IPSec-3DES.
Any ideas ?
Thank you very much in advance.

Saw this on cisco:
Explanation An unexpected error occurred during the encryption or decryption of a packet.
Recommended Action This message may occur during the normal operation of the system, or it may occur during the transition to a new session key for a security association. In such cases, it may be ignored. However, if it happens frequently, or is associated with traffic disruption, make a note of the status value and contact your Cisco technical support representative. The EAIM will most likely need to be replaced.
This clearly describes the issue. if you get too many messages, open a TAC and see if you replace the card.

I get this error:
%HW_VPN-1-HPRXERR: Virtual Private Network (VPN) Module0/13: Packet Encryption/Decryption error, status=4610
What was the fix for this problem - Was it H/W or S/W?
