Has anyone else experienced any issues with PPTP-configured VPN connections not working once some Windows Updates are installed?
I've had three remote user each experience the same problem once some Windows Updates were installed. The updates in question generally involved hackers and security. Once the updates were uninstalled and the workstations stay off the VPN for about 8-10 hours they were able to connect to all mapped drives again.
When this happens, I also notice a drop in the free memory on the PIX 515e Firewall. Once the user logs off, some of the free memory returns after 8-10 hours.
But I'm certain it's the Windows Update(s) which is causing the issue, because once the newest round of updates are removed off the workstation, they are able to function again.
Anyone else?
