I'm tryng to configure a vpn with a cisco small business pro router, model srp527W-k9-g5

But when i try to set the “remote ip”  in Remote traffic selection a I have to set (10.0.0.0) a message said:

  “Invalid IP Address Format”

If i change the ip and i put 10.0.0.1 i have not error but I have to put 10.0.0.0 and if i configure it on a cisco WRV210 (por example) i have no error.

Can you help me with this issue?

Thanks Dino

I am not familiar with that router model and so do not have any direct experience or insight to offer. But it sounds like there is some confusion about whether you are specifying the remote address of the peer (which needs to be a host address and not a network) or specifying the address of the remote network (which logically would be a network address). Can you be clear (and careful) about whether the prompt is asking for remote host address or remote network?

Thanks Rick, in the configuration I have to put an IP addres and a Subnet Mask

as you can see in this Screeshoot.

I've resolved the problem upgrading to the las firmaware.

I am glad that you have resolved the problem. Thank you for posting back to the forum to tell us that the problem is resolved and that a code upgrade was what you did to resolve it.
