I have a 1750 router and a zoom modem(V.34X).I want to call modem and connect to the router. The modem has autoanswer and I connect with it when I call it.But I can't get console from the router.

This is the configuration of the router in console and in auxiliary port.

line con 0

exec-timeout 5 0

logging synchronous

login local

modem autoconfigure discovery

transport output pad udptn telnet rlogin

flowcontrol hardware

line aux 0

exec-timeout 5 0

password cisco

login

modem InOut

modem autoconfigure discovery

transport preferred none

transport input all

transport output none

speed 115200

I'm having the same issue. I can dial in and connect to the modem, but there is no text echo from the device (a 3550 switch in this case) I've set this up and got it working on other switches, but with USR modems. In this case it is a duxbury modem in S. Africa. I am able to blindly login to the console and establish a console session, but can see nothing displayed on the screen.

Did you ever find the solution to your problem?

No,unfortunately I didn't find a solution to that problem.I tried with a 2600 Cisco router with the same configuration and the same modem and everything was OK.
