Problems resetting Cisco AnyConnect VPN client (Mac OS X)

Hi,

My university uses the Cisco Anyconnect VPN client (version 4.9) to allow students to remotely connect to the network and I've encountered a problem.

Problem: When connecting to the university's VPN, authentication was asked (email/password) and there was an option to save these credentials. Sadly, the credentials were incorrect and these are now locked for connecting to that VPN, there is no option available in the GUI that allows to authenticate with another account.

After some google searches (a lot), some things were tried:

- Deleting the corresponding profile (xml file) in /opt/cisco/anyconnect/profile

- Uninstalling the client (with uninstall application and the vpn_uninstall.sh) and re-installing several times

- Deleting the .cisco folder in the user's directory

- Going to the university's helpdesk (they couldn't help or proposed the same as above)

All of these were unsuccesful and every time a connection is made the VPN still uses the saved credentials.

Any tips are most welcome, thanks in advance!

Update: After some more research, I found there is a setting in /opt/cisco/anyconnect/AnyConnectLocalPolicy.xml <RestrictPreferenceCaching> that could be related to the problem, after setting this value to "Credentials", which should enforce the usernames to not be cached, the problem remained sadly.
