Hi there,
I have a customer who is migrating from a Cisco VPN 3000 Concentrator to an ASA 5510 for their VPN connections.
All users are connecting to a group name at present on the 3000 which has a space in it. On the ASA when I am trying to do this am the ASA will only accept a group name with no spaces in it. Is there any workaround which will enable us to use spaces in the group name on the ASA?
Can I have some advice on why it is not possible to have a space in the group name? Why have Cisco removed this functionality?
Thanks,
Rob

have you tried putting the name between double quotes?
i.e.
tunnel-group "my group" type remote-access

Herbert,
Thanks so much for this. I have now successfully created the VPN. Things like this always seem so obvious when I get the answer! D'oh!
Rgds,
Rob
