By default on my Windows XP workstation, QuickVPN 1.4.0.5 changes the Advanced TCP/IP DNS settings to "Append these DNS suffixes (in order):" and inserts "cisco" into the top of the DNS suffix list. With this setting selected, I can't ping our office's email server on the VPN, and don't get name resolution for MS Outlook. Earlier versions of QuickVPN inserted "linksys" into the DNS suffix list. After making the QuickVPN connection, to get email I have to manually go into Advanced TCP/IP settings and delete "cisco" from the DNS suffix list and change the setting back to "Append primary and connection specific DNS suffixes".
Can the QuickVPN default be changed to no DNS action, i.e. leave the desired "Append primary and connection specific DNS suffixes" selection intact?
