QWest DSL and Cisco 678 router VPN problem

After connecting to our VPN I can telnet into our AS400 and ping our Win 2k server but I cannot run a netork connection like run \\server\everyone no login appears like at other sites and connection is not found. I figure problem is in router set can anyone help?

Which device are you using for VPN, and with what protocols? Sometimes, using a smaller MTU may help. Ping with increasing size packets, and see if ping fails for larger packets (1400-1600 bytes)

Your getting this because the tunnel only will support unicast, use the ip address for the server name and you will be able to map the share. Dan

Alternatively, I have had success with using WINS. Also, a properly configured DNS in a Win2K environment should eliminate the need for WINS, but for simplicity WINS will work.
