re-activate VPN tunnel between ASA units

                   Hi all,

   I have an ASA 5505 which connects to our HQ ASA 5510 but last night got disconnected. Check on the ASAA 5505 and see VPN tunnels to other sites are ok except the one with HQ. Please help me to re-activate this tunnel. Thank you very much.

Hi,

if there were no configuration changes just generate interesting traffic for specific tunnel and it will go UP again. So for example if tunnel is configured for traffic from 192.168.1.0/24 on ASA5505  to 192.168.2.0/24 on ASA5510 so just ping or telnet to remote IP.

Hello Duc,

The tunnel will rekey every 24 hours (Phase I) and 8 hours (Phase II) if there is not traffic, then it will go down until some traffic triggers the tunnel.

So, as mentioned by Jan, test with some traffic.

On the other hand, please be more specific:

Any debugs?

Any logs?
