Hello, I am looking for freeware or software that can say once a week dial out to our remote cisco routers and report back that the status is ok. I know there is something out there that can do this, just have not come across it. Currently this is a manual process. thanks in advance

It will be much easy to write a script which will generate the intresting traffic to dial out for these routers. So the connection is open you can try to ping the appropriate interfaces and automatically send out an email. If you have an Unix based server, then you can make use of Crontab for scheduling and either Shell programming or Tcl/Tk for writing the script.
