Security techniques to prevent arbitrary change of VRF configuration

We are trying to isolate the customer's network using VRF.
However, our customers have doubts about the reliability of VRF.
So, I want to know if there is any security technique that will prevent arbitrary change of VRF configuration.

Are you referring to using VRFs with a VPN? If so, what device are you referring to IOS Router or ASA?

Yes, we are considering using VRF for VPN.
The equipment used is ESR 5940, an IOS router.
