Setting Up A VPN for File Access Through ASA 5506X

Can I use the ASA5506X to create a VPN without having to purchase a license.

I need users to be able to access files on the fileserver.

Yes you can, but you are quite limited.

1. For AnyConnect, you can only have two concurrent sessions.
2. You can use the legacy IPSec client, but that's technology of the last millennium.

You should buy the AnyConnect 4 Plus license which is not that expensive. With this license you can take full advantage of  your ASA VPN.
