SSH setup causes excess CPU usage

I was wondering what could have been causing my CPU usage to be consistently above 90%. I monitored using the "sh process cpu history". I had recently configured SSH as a means to remotely access router(2611) running c2600-ik9o3s3-mz.123-1a.bin. I use it for cable internet gateway. I setup SSH with a modulus of 1024 , and when I removed the SSH & zeroized key etc.. the CPU usage dropped to about 17%. Is there something perhaps I may have incorrectly setup SSH? Thanks

I guess the problem may be due to some commands and also cjeck whether any debug commands has been enabled.
