Hi,
I recognized poor performance when we use the Cisco SSL VPN client. Download a file from the cooperate network has only half the speed of a VPN connection with the standard Cisco VPN client. Same client PC.
Anyone noticed the same ?
b.t.w SSL VPN client 1.01.116 or 1.0.0179
I guess it is a feature: the Internet browser closes itself when the SSL VPN connection has been successful established. Or can this be managed from the administrator side that the browser keeps open ?
Best Regards,

We are testing the SSL part of the Concentrator and have noticed that it is slower than using the IPSec client. I have asked Cisco this questions and have not recieved an acknowledge one way or another on the SSL vs. IPSec performance.

Ok. I believe this answers my question. Let's wait for a newer version....
Thanks,
Cheers Stefan

Hi,
In rough estimates, the SSL vpn client is about 3 times the performance impact (cpu, memory) compared to the IPSec client, from the point of view of the concentrator. Taking this into account, yes, you can expect a slower performance...
I also find the "closing windows" a annoyance, but I have no found a way to avoid it...
Regards.
