TACACS locks out the router

I was installing Tacacs and copied the commands from the Tacacs installation to the 3600 router. I belive that the aaa-newmodel is set for all types of connections. The tacacs is not working properly, and I can't telnet or console or Aux in to the router. Its a test router, hence no worries for the moment. Any idea on how to log in to change the config. I have tried to do the password recovery but it fails, keeps bringing the router back to "username: " prompt.

Would appreciate any help on this, thanks in advance.

I don't really see a differant choise than

password recovery on your router.

But this should do the trick:

1. Brake out to rommon

2. do following:

rommon 1 > confreg 0x141

You must reset or power cycle for new config to take effect

rommon 2 > reset

Make sure you have a IOS image in flash since there is where

we are going to look for it.
