Temporarily remove VPN authentication

I know this is a dangerous proposition - but we had a problem with our ACS server that prevented remote access VPN users authenticating via VPN.

Is it possible to temporarily remove authentication for VPN session's when/if this problem reoccurs?

Under the group policy there is a command user-authentication disable. I have not used it before, but it sounds like what you're looking for.
