A client using MAC laptop with Anyconnect client version 4.8 experienced this error while connecting to an ASA VPN head end
" The VPN connection to the selected secure gateway requires a routable IPv6 physical adapter address. Please move to an IPv6 network and retry the connection or select a different secure gateway"
It seems after a while when client tries connecting to different VPN head ends, it finally connects without the error.
Had the client disable IPv6 on the MAC, reboot and connect. It seemed to work. When the client tried again today, the same error popped up. Suggested to client to remove Anyconnect client from the MAC and reinstall and try connecting again. It seems the client was able to connect without any issues. Hoping this solved the issue. But wanted to ask if anyone encountered this error before and what was done to fix it? This was the only client having this issue and we have hundreds of MAC and PC clients running the same version of Anyconnect client connecting successfully without any issues. Anyone seen this before and what was done to fix it?
thanks in advance.
