Troubleshooting ASA 5510 issue

We have ASA 5510 running for a few months without any problems. Recently we added Wevpn and site to site VPN on the ASA. It starts to have some connection issue. In the past week, we had 3 incidents that we could not access the Internet. We must restart the ASA to make it work. I called our ISP regarding this issue. They checked the log and found the heavy traffic pounded the ASA, but could not provide more details like from which public IP addresses. Is it possible my VPN configuration make this problem? How can I setup ASA to monitor any errors or send me a notification whenever we have a critical error?

did u try enabling logging ?? you can login to ASDM and go to "Monitoring tab" and enable logging. There are options for seeing archieved or live logs.. you can also redirect it to a syslog server. This might be of help to u.
