Upgrading AnyConnect VPN to Cisco Secure Client on Catalyst 8000v

Hello Team,

I am preparing to upgrade our AnyConnect VPN running on a Catalyst 8000V router to Cisco Secure Client. However, while reviewing Cisco’s documentation, I couldn't find a configuration guide for setting it up on the router like anyconnect.

I have a couple of questions:

1. Can anyone provide a guide or instructions on how to install and configure Cisco Secure Client on the Catalyst 8000V?
2. Does Cisco Secure Client require any additional licenses beyond DNA-Premier / Network-Premier? Currently, our setup is using these licenses.

Appreciate your prompt response. Thanks in advance

Thanks,
Punkn

Hello @san ju. ,

Here is a step by step tutorial on how to configure a SSL VPN running on Cisco 8000v in a public cloud: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j24f0fxervw

If running the 8000v in a private cloud/datacenter, take a look at this sample config: https://github.com/xaviervalette/cisco-anyconnect-ssl-vpn-on-catalyst-8000v-edge

DNA-Premier / Network-Premier are ok for Cisco Secure Client.

@liviu.gheorghe Thanks for you response, i really appreciate it.

Hello @Rob Ingram,

Thanks for your repsone! - We are only planning to use Secure Client for RA-VPN to access the private network and do not require any additional features provided by CSC. Below are the licenses we have installed. Do we still need to purchase a license despite having these?

License Level: network-premier
License Type: Perpetual
Next reload license Level: network-premier

Addon License Level: dna-premier
Addon License Type: Subscription
Next reload addon license Level: dna-premier

The current throughput level is 20000000 kbps
