Hi,
I need help urgently.
I have 2 cisco routers connected back to back in my lab for testing/troubleshooting.
1 router is configured as L2TP client, the other router is configured as L2TP server.
I used L2TP version 2.
The client router is able to ping to the server router's tunnel interface.
I configured a default route on the client router "ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 Virtual-PPP1"
Problems
1) I noticed that the L2TP tunnel is flapping.
One moment it is established, the next moment it is down.
I don't think it's the physical port nor cable because prior to configuring the tunnel, I could ping continously.
Why does it flap? Is it due to the the default route being Virtual-PPP1?
2) Then I connect a laptop to the internal network of the client router.
But I can't ping from my laptop to the server router's tunnel ip address.
I did a trace route, the trace stops at the client router.
How can I make my laptop able to ping the server router's tunnel interface, and server router's internal network laptop?
Tks!
Rgds,
Rachel
