Can anyone tell me what the current draw the VPN 3000 series concentrators are rated for? I see the wattage and voltage but I'm missing the amperage.

Hi,

If i remember physics, the power equals amperage multiplied with voltage.

P=A*V, so it is safe to say A=P/V :)

You can check Concentrator info page with links to desired informations/configurations: http://cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/vpndevc/ps2284/tsd_products_support_series_home.html

Please rate if this helped.

Regards,

Daniel

I remembered that too, but given the numbers listed:

A = 50W / 110 V

= .5 amps?

That's way too low.

Thanks for the link, but I couldn't find it in there either.

Back of the device says 2A. Not sure why when:

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/vpn/vpn3000/4_7/getstart/gs1und.htm#wp1037857

says that it is ~.5A

Hi,

It says:

?3005 = maximum 25 W (0.2A @ 120 VAC)

?3015-3080 = maximum 50 W (0.42A @ 120 VAC)

So maybe it is not used heavily. That is the maximum value.

Cheers,

Daniel
