VPN BUG: VPN is reconnecting via non secure host.

i am using Cisco Any Connect Secure Mobility Client Version 4.4.02034.

when i try connecting form WIFI, i am getting error connection attempt filing with error: No valid certificates available for authentication.

i try connecting with other source( i have used my mobile hot spot) to internet, and connection is established to internet and VPN as well . later i have disconnected Mobile host spot and reconnected to internet via WIFI. at this time VPN is trying to reconnect and after some time VPN connection is established via WIFI.

Steps:

1. try to connect VPN with non secure host, connection will not establish

2. Try with valid host, VPN connection will establish, disconnect the host and connect back to non secure host.

I am not sure I understand what you mean by secure and non secure host.

Are they different hosts or just the same host using different network connections ?

At step 2 I also do not understand what you mean by "connect back to non secure host".

Considering the error you receive: "No valid certificates available for authentication"the host from which you are trying to connect does not have or can't find the necessary certificate for authentication.

hi Bogdan, Thanks for the reply,

VPN connection is not establishing if i use my WIFI. getting error "No valid certificates available for authentication"

instead of WIFI i have connected via Mobile hot spot. VPN connection is established.

Now i have connected to back to WIFI at this time VPN will try re connect and connection is established successfully.

since WIFI has no valid certificate VPN connection should not establish. Hope this clarify .

Hi,

This message 'No valid certificates available for authentication' shouldn't
be necessary a problem. It appears part of anyConnect authentication setup
as anyconnect looks for client certificate with 'Client Authentication' EKU
to authenticate the VPN server.

When you are on WiFi and VPN isn't connecting, can you look at VPN Logs
from the client and see what error messages are generated
