VPN Client and MSN Proxy Client clash

VPN Client is 4.0.3.c. If the VPN is lauched first then it works for the First logon..not the 2nd, in this case you have to go through option C first. Is this a known problem and if so is there a fix for it.

A) What is working:

1. Logon to VPN

2. Enable the Proxy Client

3. Login to MSN Messenger

B)What does not work:

1. Enable the Proxy Client

2. Logon to VPN

error: Secure VPN connection terminated

locally by client

Reason 403: Unable to contact the security

gateway.

C)Fix for option A above on 2nd connect attempt:

1. Disable Proxy Client

2. Restart PC

3. Logon to VPN

4. Enable Proxy Client

I do not know much about the Proxy Client. However, anything that installs a virtual adaptor in the system will conflict with the ipsec client and needs to ne removed for the VPN client to work.
