VPN Client and PPTP on IOS

We have a router acting as a VPN box. It does not do NAT, there is another router doing that. I had connections working with the Cisco VPN client 3.x, but after I setup PPTP on it, connections with the Cisco client do not work. A connection is made, but traffic does not pass.

Any ideas?

Hi Briant,

If you have added PAT in the middle and the IPSec VPN Clients are connecting to a Router or a PIX the traffic wouldn't pass as the PAT device doesn't know how to Port map using IPSec, I think thats whats happening in your case. If thats not the case and its stopped working just because now you have PPTP added to the config, then kindly verify with the following page:

and then open up a TAC case for further troubleshooting.
