VPN client causes performance disaster

I also, after applying XP upgrades, have seen network performance drop to dialup speed

with the Cisco VPN client installed. This happens even when the VPN is not connected.

Small packets do fine, but try to download even a medium sized file (100K)

and thoughput goes through the floor...

Which version of VPN client are you using..

It sounds like a MTU issue , Try this:

1) Start --> programs --> cisco secure vpn client --> set mtu. Configure the MTU to 1400. If your

still seeing issues please try 1380 or 1360
