Does anyone know of any client you can install on a Black Berry that will allow it to connect to a Cisco ASA?

Follow below steps for connecting VPN on Blackberry

Step-1 (Creating VPN Profile)

  • •-      Go to options, security options and to VPN.
  • •-      Create new VPN connection.
  • •-      select VPN vendor type (Cisco Secure PIX Firewall VPN)
  • •-      Put in the name of VPN (Name can be any e.g. ABCVPN)
  • •-      Put in concentrator ip address (x.x.x.x)
  • •-      Define VPN group name (….) and password (…)
  • •-      Leave username\password blank.
  • •-      Tick on save passphrase.
  • •-      Client and CA Certificate NONE.
  • •-      Un Tick on enable extended authentication.
  • •-      Tick on dynamically determine DNS.
  • •-      Un Tick on enable extended authentication.
  • •-      Select IKE DH Group:
  • •-      Select IKE cipher:
  • •-      Select IKE hash:
  • •-      Un Tick Perfect Forward Secrecy.
  • •-      Select IPSec crypto and hash
  • •-      Tick Use Hard Token
  • •-      Tick Disable VPN banner

Step-2 (Creating VPN Profile)

After the profile is saved, you'll have to set WIFI profile as follows:

  • •-      Go to options and go to WIFI connections.
  • •-      EDIT WIFI profile that you are using (e.g. ABC etc.) and scroll down right to the bottom where it says VPN.
  • •-      Put the VPN profile name in there and save.
  • •-      After doing this you will have go to options, security options and to VPN and click Log In.
  • •-      It will prompt you for username and password.
  • •-      After successful attempt you will be Logged In.
