Hello,

just updated Windows 10 Pro and Windows say that VPN Client doesn’t work for this version anymore (have 5.0.07.0440 64bit version). Is there any solution to make the VPN client work?

Thanks and regards

The best way is to migrate your remote-access-VPNs to AnyConnect as the legacy client is EOL. Is that an option?

Unfortunately not. Is there any other software for VPN or any solution for nonsupport of the VPN client?

Then you have two options:

  1. Use a rthird party client that supports "Cisco EzVPN". I'm aware of the Shrew.net-client, but on their website they don't mention Windows10.
  2. The same problem existed already on Windows 8. There were some how-tos how to make the client work although it's unsupported by Cisco. You can try to  go through these examples. It worked for some, but for others it didn't work.

Still, AnyConnect is the preferred RA-VPN from Cisco for many years now. Starting the migration is the only way to prevent (or at least reduce ... ;-) ) problems in the future.

Can you please send me the link for installation of Cisco EzVPN? Can't find any...

And send you a screenshot of my desktop that says Cisco VPN Client doesn't work on this version of Windows (it's all in Czech).

EzVPN (or EasyVPN) is the technology-name of the legacy VPN-Client. That's the one you tried. It could be mentioned on the datasheets of 3rd-party clients if you look for them.

Like Karsten already suggested if possible you should migrate to Anyconnect due to the EOL.

I have installed ver 2-2-2 of shrew.net:s client in customer networks running win10.

Works like charm.

Though not supported by big C.
