Just recently started experiencing strange set of events. VPN Client version is 4.6.0. VPN connection will work for several days, then for some reason, a connection can not be established. Looking at the VPN client log, I see an error message that says
Hash verification failed... may be configured with invalid group password.
I can edit the VPN connection and re-enter the VPN group password, then that specific connection begins to work again.
Does anyone have any ideas? I am still searching for such a known bug, but have not had any success yet.

May be someone else is changing the password, are you the only one with access to the devices??

The password for the VPN group (on the concentrator) has not changed. Neither was it changed on the VPN Client. I was one of the users affected.
I find this one strange because it affected only one VPN group, with 8-10 tech users in the group (all users). Everyone had to follow the same procedure in order to re-establish connectivity, which was to to edit the VPN connection entry on the VPN client, and re-enter the same password and save the entry.

Hi,
I would recommend that rather than looking at the logs on the client , look for the logs on the head end device, the device where the vpn is bein terminated.
Also,we can think of changing the vpngroup password on both the client and the head end(that has the vpn group configured), changing the passwords on both might help us to get rid of the issue.
