Hi Guys
You have a laptop with a wifi connection on it and you connect to the Cisco VPN over the wireless connection (lets say via starbucks. When does the traffic originate from and terminate on the client. Which interface?
The reason I ask is you have you wifi interface and a Cisco VPN Adapter (Lan connection 2)
What is the Cisco VPN Adapter and if I wanted to capture some traffic on an interface to check via wireshark, which one would I use? And can someone give me an indication of how it works?
Many thx indeed to all.
First time I have used this client :)
Many thx
Ken

VPN traffic enters/leaves the virtual adapter interface. You can verify this by viewing the routing table on your workstation.
If you wanted to run a packet capture, you'd use the virtual adapter interface.
