VPN client v5.x for Windows 7 64bit

I have a couple new laptops have Windows 7 64 bit installed. The latest vpnclient-win-msi-5.0.07.0410-k9.exe only support Windows 7 - 32bit.

I am planning to try running VPN client in 32 bit compatibility mode. Has anyone using VPN client in Windows 7 64bit ? Does this support by Cisco ? If not, what are you using for 64bit ?

Thanks,

Vinnie

Thanks Jennifer. It works on Windows 7 64bit but the version no longer has the "Enable start before logon" option. This option is very useful so user can VPN in first and then logon to the domain.

Is there a VPN version for 64bit that provides this option ?

Thanks,

Vincent

Start Before Logon is no longer supported in Windows 7 IPSec VPN Client. Here is the releases notes for your reference:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/vpn_client/cisco_vpn_client/vpn_client5007/release/notes/vpnclient5007.html#wp101397

You can migrate to use AnyConnect SSL VPN which does support Start Before Logon feature. If you haven't got any SSL VPN license, you would need to purchase the license, otherwise, it only comes with default of 2 SSL VPN license.

Here is the configuration guide for AnyConnect SSL VPN with Start Before Logon feature:

Hope that helps.

Hello Vinnie,

I am using windows 10 64bit operating system in my office and I use FastestVPN on it. there is no issue with that VPN. you just download the windows VPN app from this website.
