VPN connection terminated

I am using the VPN client version 4.03 on several laptops, along with Sierra wireless 3300 PC modems. Every time I authenticate into the VPN, it seems to be connected, but after a few seconds I get the following message:

Secure VPN Connection terminated locally by the client. Reason 422: Lost contat with the security gateway. We use IPSec over UDP as the transparent tunneling method. Any ideas why this keeps happening?

Turn on the logging options on the client, it may give you more information for the disconnect.

What is your headend VPN device?

There is some more information available here:

Andy, thanks for the reply. This is what comes up in the log.

1 09:04:29:461 06/22/05 Sev=Warning/3 CM/0xA310002C Adapter address changed from xxx.xxx.96.9. Current address(es): xxx.xxx.120.175

2 09:04:29:492 06/22/05 Sev=Warning/2 CVPND/0xA340000E Failed to get adapter index

3 09:04:29:492 06/22/05 Sev=Warning/2 CVPND/0xA340000E Failed to get adapter index

The modem software is Sprint PCS Connection Manager. I know that the IP Address changing can cause the VPN connection to be lost, but I'm not sure what to do about it. The card is supposed to be able to handle VPN connections. Thanks again for your help.
