VPN timed out

Hi,

I have a VPN l2l remote office setup with ASA, everything working correctly except seems like when there was no user present at that office site,  I could not ping and/or connect to the site, VPN session only established when someone actually there to initiate the traffic.  I  already set vpn timeout to none:

vpn-idle-timeout none

vpn-session-timeout none

The only way I can get to the site is via ssh/telnet to the external IP address. Anyone? any idea?

What kind of VPN are you using?

sorry, it should be L2L ipsec, additional info: while other VPN sites stayed on at all time but not this site.
