Hi,
CCO indicates that the VWIC2-1MFT-T1/E1 module can support mixed data & voice connectivity. Has anyone configured the following solution or know if it will function?
I am looking to connect an E1 PRA cct to this module and in normal day to day use, use the channels for voice calls in/out from the site. Then if the WAN/ethernet connection from the carrier to a layer3 switch on site fails, through a floating static route have the layer3 switch redirect traffic to the 2800 ISR voice router, which then utilises the same (limited number of) channels on the PRA to create a WAN (data) backup connection to Headoffice.
Thanks
Mark

It works in deed as far as you have enough dsp's to get 2 channel groups. Didn't understand the solution you want to implement so can't help you there.. Cheers

Thanks,
Solution summary:
Use the same PRA b-channels for voice and as ISDN backup for a WAN connection should the normal WAN connection fail.
