What to use for Aux access via POTS

What device brand/model is best for giving Aux access to a modem via dialup? I need a way to remotely get to a bunch of routers if their internet fails so I figured the Aux port and dialup was the way to go. Does anyone have suggestions on what device I should use at the remote sites?
