I need a solution where I can have ADSL PPPoE as a primary link for VoIP and internet access. I need a secondary link which is cable as backup. I thought of purchasing a 1700 series modular router and plug in cards but the problem is that the Cable card, HWIC-CABLE-D-2 is not compatible with 1700 (http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/modules/ps3129/products_data_sheet0900aecd804b4478.html)
and if I think of using a 1800 series router the ADSL, WIC-1ADSL card is not compatible (http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6350/products_configuration_guide_chapter09186a0080454f6a.html)
Same problem with 2600 and 2800 series. The office is not very big so a huge investment is not possible. Any one has any ideas or know of any platforms that support both ADSL and Cable cards.
Thanks
Himanshu

Hi,
The ADSL WIC is compatible with the 1800 (1841 Modular series - HWIC slots), the document you are referring to is not updated with the new ISRs.
Always use the Cisco Router Guide:
