I'm trying to install Cisco VPN v 5.0.07.0290 on a Windows Vista x64 laptop without any success. First I was getting a different error connected with the DNE. Found the solution for this problem, installed the DNE Updater, but now I'm getting Error 1722: There is a problem with Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor.
(error when installing Cisco). The OS is Windows Vista Ultimate x64 SP2. Any suggestions how I can resolve this. It's been a problem since I bought this new laptop. Was never able to run and setup Shrewsoft on this machine as well. When using Shrewsoft the connection will be only for a few seconds. I was so happy that finally Cisco released a version working on Windows Vista x64, but now I can't even install it.
