X.25 with VPN

Does anybody know if it's possible to transport X.25 traffic through VPN encrypted tunnel ?

I assumed also that X.25 is over IP.

Any suggestions ?

You have to encapsulate the X.25 over TCP as described in sample config on:

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/133/x25_over_tcpip.html

Then you could ipsec protect this tcp traffic, ie

the ipsec config would just be a router to router config, with acl the crypto acl matching the tcp (or ip) traffic.
