Gateway Timeout

We always get calls and e-mails saying that a website is being blocked since the page the WSA displays for a gateway timeout is nearly identical.  Is it possible to not have the WSA branded gateway timeout page?

Hi

You can actually customized this block page from the appliance.

Please see below article to perform it:

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/security/email-security-appliance/117957-configure-wsa-00.html

Once you have FTP in to the appliance and go to configuration folder, you can look for file called 'ERR_GATEWAY_TIMEOUT', this file is the block page for gateway timeout in the appliance.

You can either customized the page to use your own wording, etc or you can remove it.

PS: if you customized the page, any changes, please do not forget to 'commit' the changes.

However if you removed this file, when the traffics are getting gateway timeout, it will then use the browser block page.
