Hello,
Please make sure both SMA and virtual WSAs AsyncOS are compatible to each other else that error will occurs.
Typical scenario is that the SMA is running version 9.6.x while the WSA is running version 9.2.0 (which not supported yet by SMA).
You can also check the compatibility matrix from below link:
