I am Facing an issue with WSA communication With Skype. Customer need to Block skype and i configured the below policy and was succeeded.
Blocking Skype - Explicit environment with HTTPS Proxy disabled
Create a custom URL category to match IP and port 443 traffic:
- Navigate to "Security Manager" -> "Custom URL Categories" -> "Add Custom Category".
- Fill out "Category Name" and expand "Advanced".
- Use "[0-9]+\.[0-9]+\.[0-9]+\.[0-9]+" in the Regular Expression window.
Set this category to deny in the Access Policies:
- Navigate to "Web Security Manager" -> "Access Policies".
- Click the link under the "URL Categories" column for the appropriate policy group.
- In the "Custom URL Category Filtering" section, choose "Block" for the new Skype category.
- Submit and commit the changes
But once i delete all the rule and permit everything(Actually it is a POC to custmoer). with decryption policy passthrough, skype is working fine. But, when we try to "import contact" option in skype, it is not getting some time, saying that, please check your internet connection. Please suggest if anyone have experience in this similar issue..
