Hi,
To give you a bit of background we were using Cisco WSA S370 physical appliance in our environment which was overwhelmed with the load and connections. We had few issues with the appliance with two major issues being slowness and throughput. We have 50Mbps internet connection with users going through proxy only be able to have internet speed of 2-5 Mbps. Whereas, Users bypassing the proxy are having 20-25 Mbps internet speed.(Depending on Available Bandwidth)
Since the appliance was 4 years old, The decision was taken to replace the physical appliance with virtual hoping that it would resolve our two major issues.
We're now running Cisco S300V 8.5.0497 on a Cisco OTV template.
I believe replacing the device have fixed our slowness issue as users are experiencing improvements in terms of connections. However in terms of internet speed the situation is still the same.
Computer via Proxy - Speedtest results 2 - 5Mbps
Computer (IP address in the same subnet of Proxy) - Speed test results 40 - 45 Mbps
Servers by pass configured in Proxy - Speed test results 30-35Mbps(Which is not to bad)
Any ideas why speedtest results are on a low side via proxy? Are there any proxy limitations?
