Dears,

i read the ordering guide http://www.ironport.com/partners/_media/Legacy_IronPort_Ordering_Guide.pdf but they did not detial how to license 2 appliances if they are working in the same company / location or as disaster recovery.

for example, if our client has 300 users, and needs to have 2 appliances, do we purchase only 300 licenses or 300 + 300 ?

saeed

Hi Saeed,

As the licences are based on good faith if you run your redundant WSA with a minimal licence, honestly as it won't be processing many users, you should be able to get your licence transfeered in the event of a failure to your primary WSA and experience no impact to service.

Hope this helps,

Thanks

Chris
