Does the WSA act as a revers proxy? I'm fairly certain the answer is NO, but I just wanted to double check with the WSA community.

You're correct, the answer is No.
In general, there are very few similarities between a forward proxy and reverse proxy functionality (other than HTTP/S proxying itself), it's like trying to build a sports car and an offroad vehicle in one. There are a few on the market, but they come with a price tag, and are neither exceptional sports cars, nor really good off road. ;)
