wsa s170 capacity

Hello,

I have a question regarding WSA S170 Capacity. How many users or transactions is supported or recommended. 

We have S170 with 700-800 users. At the peak time:

-Total Web Proxy activity over 180.0k

-Total connection over 1300

System Resource Utilization:
CPU 25.2%
RAM 86.7%
Reporting/Logging Disk 84.2%

We see wsa outage, internet works slow and wsa is not accessible at this time. Can capacity be issue?

The slowness for S170 appliance can cause by multiple factors, being limited CPU, disks and RAM:

- Number of requests per seconds being handled

- Expensive configuration, regular expressions configured

- Version of the AsyncOS (there are few defects impacting S170 for performance degradation)

- Engines that are enabled (such as web reputation, categorisation, anti virus, anti malware, reporting and authentication)

However recommend to open a TAC case to get in depth assistance for this
