Hi

Hoping you would be able to assist me with a few questions below, unable to find the answers from the Cisco website

How much connections S390 and S690 can handle without any impact to traffic?

How many users S390 and S690 can handle?

What is the maximum throughput S390 and S690 can handle?

We are currently have a old S370 can only get max 40M throughput although we have a 100M internet connection.

Also considering the virtual appliance option just a little bit concerned about the performance.

Thanks in advance.

So, I can't give you hard numbers, just anecdotes and stated plans (if I remember them correctly) when they released the x90 appliances...

We run 500 users through a C300v that I upgraded to because I needed the logging space not the performance, though I'm sure my users were happier with the bump. Before that we were on a C100v which replaced a C170.

IIRC, the plan was double performance from a Cx70 to Cx90... and double for each step of Cx90, where x= 1,3,6.

If you have recent hardware in your VMWare infrastructure, I'd spin up a C300V VM and see if it can carry your load.

Thanks Ken . We have more than 1200 users and currently have 1000 ironport licenses. So I guess I probably need to try the C600V.
