WSA web-caches or not

HI.

I see that I can configure my switch with and without ip wccp "web-caches" statement. What does this mean?

What is the diffrense between these two?

ip wccp 95 redirect-list MYLIST

ip wccp web-cache redirect-list MYLIST

In the second command web-cache is the standard service number.  It only redirects port 80.

For a WSA you want to use a custom service number (you're using 95) and you can redirect multiple ports, whatever you've  defined on the WSA.

Web-cache service name in WCCP has bee reserved for TCP protocol 80 only and the service id for this is "0"

There are few service IDs that have been reserved for specific purposes such as DNS, https-cache, etc.

Therefore we would always recommended to use service id between 90 to 97 for WCCP since these IDs are free and should not interfere with other service IDs and also you can specify multiple ports in each IDs (90 to 97).

For example service id 90 used in WSA and in WSA Transparent Redirection configuration, you can set this ID to have port 80 and 443 for redirection traffics.

Please also see below article for WCCP service IDs should be used jn WSA:
